News and Updates About Federal Financial Aid & the FAFSA: Students | Practitioners

I first connected with uAspire during my senior year of high school. Angie was my advisor, and she helped me through every part of the process. I didn’t know much about financial aid or scholarships, and I was really scared I wouldn’t be able to afford college. My mom has health problems, and I’m the one who helps her, so paying for school felt impossible.
uAspire helped me understand my options, complete all my forms, and apply for scholarships. I got the Last Dollar Scholarship, and with my financial aid, I didn’t have to pay anything this semester. I still have money left for next semester, which feels amazing. Without uAspire, I don’t think I would’ve known what to do. They helped me make the best decision for my future.

Working with my uAspire advisor made me feel hopeful. I can actually attend college, support my family, and work toward my goals.
I am now a student at Westfield State University, studying urban and regional planning. At first, I cried a lot because I missed my family, but once I figured out how to take the bus home on weekends, I felt better. My roommate and professors are supportive, and everything is going better than I expected.
Working with my uAspire advisor made me feel hopeful. I can actually attend college, support my family, and work toward my goals. I’m the first in my family to do this, and it feels like I’m breaking a cycle. I’m proud of that and grateful for the help that got me here.
