Sophie is a College Affordability Advisor in the Massachusetts Afford Program. She advises students and families at Somerville High School on navigating the financial aid process and making financially informed decisions. Prior to joining uAspire, Sophie was earning her Bachelor's degree in Communication with a minor in History from UCLA. While at UCLA, she was a Bruin Bound Intern with the office of First Year Experience, advising prospective out of state students on how to handle the transition to college. She has also previously worked with teens teaching music classes at the Charles River Creative Arts Program. uAspire's mission to make college an affordable and accessible option for everyone is one that I share and believe in deeply. Whatever a student's postsecondary ambitions may be, I hope that by supporting students and their families through the financial aid process we can alleviate some of the stress and leave as much room as possible for the excitement and possibilities that come with graduating high school.
