uAspire is proud to announce the appointment of Hallie Hanson as its new Chief Development Officer (CDO), marking an exciting new chapter in the organization’s fundraising and strategic growth efforts. Hallie brings nearly 15 years of experience in nonprofit development, fundraising, and communications—alongside a deep commitment to advancing educational equity and economic mobility.
Hallie has already made a strong impact at uAspire as a trusted partner in the organization’s mission to ensure that all students have access to an affordable college education. In her new role, she will lead fundraising strategy, philanthropic partnerships, and donor engagement, helping drive uAspire’s work at a time when financial aid systems and affordability are at the forefront of national conversation.
Prior to joining uAspire, Hallie served as Chief Development Officer at Coney Island Prep, where she led a $10 million capital campaign, secured $4 million annually in philanthropic support, and shaped the organization’s communications strategy. Before that, as the first lead fundraiser at UnboundEd, she worked closely with executive leadership to raise $7 million toward a $10 million budget, building major national partnerships to advance equity in education. Her earlier work at Student Leadership Network—one of uAspire’s core partners in New York—further demonstrated her leadership, as she directed institutional giving and raised over $3 million annually from foundations, corporations, and government agencies.
In addition to her nonprofit leadership, Hallie is also the founder and CEO of daLAIT, where she recently earned a patent for an inclusive nursing product—bringing an entrepreneurial lens and innovative mindset to all of her work.
“I’m energized by the opportunity to work alongside a team that leverages direct service, data, and policy to drive systemic change,” Hallie said. “I’m proud to be part of an organization where my work can directly impact students’ futures and advance educational equity and economic mobility on a broad scale.”
With her strategic clarity, equity-centered leadership, and proven fundraising expertise, Hallie is well-positioned to guide uAspire’s development efforts into a bold and impactful future.
