Steven Lefaive
College Affordability Advisor
As uAspire’s only College Affordability Advisor supporting both the Afford and Succeed programs, Steven helps students in high school and beyond navigate the financial aid landscape across various postsecondary pathways. In the high school-based Afford program, he works closely with seniors and families to build confidence around accessing aid. In the Succeed program, Steven assists post-high school learners with maintaining financial aid, persistence, and career planning. Prior to joining uAspire, Steven guided community college students through the transfer process and served as a sports educator for K–12 youth. He received his bachelor’s from the University of California, Berkeley.
In conversations about postsecondary plans, financial aid is a topic that’s often overlooked or misunderstood. Having navigated this process myself without guidance, I feel passionate about improving access to clear and accurate information—especially for first-generation, low-income, and marginalized students. I’m proud to be part of an impact-driven organization that shares my interest in bridging access gaps and championing college affordability.
