College Affordability Advisor

I am a College Affordability Advisor at uAspire, where I support high school students and their families through the financial aid process I work at two San Francisco high schools helping students complete the FAFSA and California Dream Act Application, understand their financial aid offers, and create affordable college plans. My goal is to ensure students, especially first-generation and underrepresented students, feel confident navigating higher education systems. Plus, I am able to translate and interpret in Spanish for any students and families if needed.

Over the past several years, my experience has spanned immigration services, banking, and education access.  These roles prepared me to guide students and families through financial aid applications, interpret financial documents, and provide detailed, equity-focused support at uAspire.

I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology with a minor in Journalism from the University of California, Berkeley. I am currently pursuing an Associate of Science in Supervision and Management at City College of San Francisco to continue strengthening my leadership and operational skills.

Why uAspire?

I chose to work at uAspire because, as a first-generation college student myself, I know how overwhelming the financial side of college can be. Especially when you’re also trying to explain it to your family who do not speak English and never went to college. I want students to feel supported, informed, and confident during their college journey, knowing they don’t have to navigate the process alone.
