As Vice President of Business Development, Michelle stewards uAspire's national partnerships and cultivates opportunities for new collaborations that bring uAspire's expertise to students and practitioners from across the country. Prior to this, Michelle was the Senior Director of Virtual Student Support at uAspire, a role in which she oversaw two national programs that scaled virtual advising (via SMS text message) to tens of thousands of students, and worked with Program Team colleagues to hone the virtual advising program model. She holds a B.A. in Spanish and B.S. in Psychology, as well as a M.Ed., Ed.S. in School Counseling -- all from the University of Florida. uAspire's relentless commitment to college affordability and dismantling the pernicious barriers that keep so many students from actualizing their educational and professional potential is deeply meaningful to me. As an educator and first generation college graduate myself, I've seen the challenges grow and evolve over time, and uAspire's mission and approach give me hope for a more equitable future.
