Erica Rose

Vice President, Program Implementation

Erica is the Vice President of Program Implementation at uAspire, overseeing uAspire’s programming across the country.  Erica provides leadership and support to the Program Directors across regions and programs, cultivates relationships with key stakeholders, and identifies and advances new opportunities to expand uAspire’s impact while advocating for needs of uAspire advisors, students, and partners.

Erica has played many roles at uAspire since joining in 2009 starting with opening the first expansion site of uAspire in Springfield, MA as a College Affordability Advisor, leading expansion in many school districts in MA and across the country, and forming partnerships with school and city officials while securing funding in order to do so.

Prior to joining uAspire, Erica was a school counselor in Western Massachusetts where she discovered her passion for social justice.  She earned her BA in Psychology from Westfield State University and her MA in Psychology and Education/School Guidance Counseling from Westfield State University. Erica is also a graduate of the Leadership Institute for Political and Public Impact from the Women’s Fund of Western Massachusetts, and an active volunteer for several nonprofits in the Western Mass area.

Why uAspire?

I started working at uAspire because I believed in the values and mission. I have stayed at uAspire because of my continued belief that uAspire plays a role in combating systemic barriers within the higher education system while addressing systems of oppression and white supremacy culture that are so deeply rooted in education and nonprofits.
