Emily Wolfson

Succeed Knowledge Manager

Emily Wolfson serves as the Succeed Knowledge Manager out of uAspire’s Bay Area site. In this role, she works to grow and enhance uAspire’s college affordability expertise through the development and facilitation of training content for the Succeed program. A critical piece of Emily’s work is helping uAspire expand its Succeed program to the Bay Area by building our knowledge base of California’s higher education landscape, in order to inform and create student advising content.

Before coming to uAspire, Emily worked as a college advisor with the East Bay Consortium for two years, where she assisted high school seniors in Oakland with the college and financial aid application processes. She also worked with the Richmond Promise, where she supported scholarship recipients through the creation and facilitation of student-facing resources and workshops. Emily holds a B.A in urban studies and a minor in education from the University of California, Berkeley.

Why uAspire?

I absolutely believe that all students deserve to reach and thrive in higher education. uAspire strives to make equitable and affordable education a reality. As someone who found affordability to be a major barrier throughout my own college journey, I am inspired to work for an organization that puts the experiences of our first-generation and low-income students at the center of our work.
