The uAspire Springfield Promise Program began in 2009 as a way to invest in the educational and economic prospects for young people in Springfield. The first uAspire site outside of Boston, uAspire Advisors assist students at all high schools in the Springfield Public School system. We provide college affordability and financial aid advising to nearly 1,000 seniors every year. To date, uAspire has helped Springfield’s college-going youth leverage more than $54 million in financial aid for college.

With more than 20 colleges and universities in the area, Springfield and the Pioneer Valley are home to some of the country’s leading schools, including Amherst College and the flagship campus of the University of Massachusetts. For many low-income youth, however, finding an affordable way to attend and learn at these colleges can be a challenge. With college debt at an all-time average high of $24,000 per student, Springfield’s college-ready students need a plan that will give them an affordable path to a degree. College affordability is an issue many students face. And uAspire is there to help you along the way.

The uAspire Springfield Promise Program helps students in Springfield find an affordable path to higher education. We partner with Springfield Public Schools, Springfield Technical Community College and numerous nonprofit organizations in the city to work with college-ready students on how to pay for their education beyond high school. Through engaging workshops and one-on-one advising sessions with our expert college affordability Advisors, uAspire is empowering students in Springfield to make a college education affordable.
