Wally DeGuglielmo

Chief External Affairs Officer

Wally DeGuglielmo is the Chief External Affairs Officer for uAspire.  In his role, he is responsible for managing the development, marketing, government relations and emerging market functions for the national organization.  Prior to this role, Wally served as the senior director of external affairs for uAspire’s Massachusetts site, where he led the site’s development department during a two-year period of rapid growth.

Prior to joining uAspire, Wally held a number of leadership roles at the United Way of Massachusetts Bay and Merrimack Valley in Boston, most recently serving as assistant vice president of community relations.  At United Way, he managed relationships with some of the organization’s largest corporate and community-based partners, as well as the team responsible for the organization’s regional fundraising efforts in Greater Boston, the Merrimack Valley and the Greater Seacoast area of New Hampshire.

Wally has also served in the Massachusetts state legislature as chief of staff to State Senator Sal DiDomenico.  In this capacity, he managed all personnel and administrative matters in the senator’s state house office and served as his lead advisor on policy, including all issues related to the state budget and in his work as chair of the Joint Committee on Community Development and Small Business.

In addition, Wally has also held roles at Inner-City Scholarship Fund in New York City and has managed several successful state and local political campaigns in the Greater Boston area.  He is a graduate of Boston College with a BA in Political Science.
