Previously, Simran was a virtual advisor in uAspire’s central office and a member of an advising team that managed a caseload of nearly 31,000 students across 15 states. Simran graduated from Tufts University where he received a B.A. in child development with a minor in economics.

Why uAspire?

Having previously been a student in a college access program, I know how impactful it is for students to essentially end their family’s cycle of poverty in becoming the first in their family to go to and graduate from college. Knowing that the college application process is not an apples-to-apples competition for low-income students in comparison to students from more privileged backgrounds, I believe it is our responsibility to level this playing field by making essential information more accessible. Working as a uAspire advisor allows me to pay my experiences forward by helping a diverse range of students make choices that will be the best and the most affordable for them and their families.
