Manager of Talent

Mercedes initially joined uAspire as a college affordability advisor, and in that time demonstrated her strong commitment to our students and families and her passion for the organization’s mission. She has transitioned that passion to ensuring that uAspire continues to invest in and grow its people. Mercedes brings great experience to this role having been a key leader in her team’s recruitment and hiring efforts at City Year and Northeastern University. At uAspire she creates and improves strategies and systems to effectively support the growth and development of the amazing talent we already have, ensuring that each member of the team meets or exceeds expectations, feels valued and supported, and sees an opportunity for development and growth. In addition, she works to ensure that we identify strong internal talent, and attract new talent to the uAspire family.

Mercedes graduated from The College of New Jersey with a BA in Communications and also holds an MS in School Counseling from Northeastern University.
