Melissa Williams

Founding Board Member

Melissa is a non-profit executive with a wide range of experience in the sector. She currently serves as Co-chair of Notes & Words, a concert series benefiting Children’s Hospital & Research Center Oakland, and Chair of the Planning Committee for a large Children’s Oakland capital campaign.  Formerly, Melissa was the founder and Executive Director of Compass, a volunteer consulting alliance that provides pro-bono strategic consulting to non-profits. In a prior life, she was a software developer and a product manager in the enterprise software industry. Melissa received an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and a B.S. in Systems Engineering from the University of Virginia.

As a first-generation college graduate like so many of uAspire’s students, Melissa was proud to be a Founding Board Member of uAspire Bay Area and to serve as co-chair of our First One Awards Celebration.
