Ali Caccavella

Director of Training and Partnerships

Ali Caccavella serves as our Director of Training and Partnerships and a central leader of our Training and Technical Assistance program. She supports the development and implementation of external training, and works primarily with the High Impact Partnerships through which uAspire delivers customized training and support to front-line staff at schools and community-based organizations nationwide.

Before joining uAspire, Ali served as the Associate Director for College Retention and Success at Philadelphia Futures. In her role, she managed a caseload of over 80 students across various college campuses with intensive supports to meet the goal of college completion. Ali developed relationships with key personnel on campuses to mobilize resources for students’ success, and created curriculum and programmatic interventions to support students’ college persistence and career development. Prior to this, Ali worked for 7 years with Mastery Charter Schools where she created, launched and directed an internship program required for all students and across growing numbers of schools. At Mastery, she also served as Assistant Director for Social Emotional Learning where she developed and scaled SEL programming across curriculum, faculty& staff training, and school culture norms. Ali earned both a BA in Urban Studies and an MS Ed. in Secondary Education from the University of Pennsylvania.

Why uAspire?

With a deeply rooted passion for justice and equality, my decade-long career is driven by the recognition that education is the equalizer that makes our country great and our democracy possible. When, in the 21st century a college degree can readily bring a person (and future generations) out of crippling poverty and into the realm of creative human potential, we as a nation must address the issue of college affordability head-on. uAspire answers this call, and offers both the direct expertise in college affordability I have been searching for as a practitioner, as well as the potential for systemic policy change I long for as a citizen. I am honored to be part of the ground-breaking work that uAspire is doing to bring best practice and awareness of college affordability to many more schools, students and families across the country.
