The MIT Initiative on the Digital Economy (IDE) announced uAspire is a finalist for the Inclusive Innovation Competition (IIC), awarding us $25,000 as one of 24 organizations creating economic opportunity in the digital era. IIC Core Judges delivered over one thousand reviews to identify the first official class of IIC finalists and selected uAspire as a Judge’s Choice candidate with the chance to receive an additional $100,000 grand prize.

Watch the explainer video we created with Fiverr, an online digital services marketplace, as part of the IIC application to highlight our innovative virtual advising model—supporting students through the college affordability process via text messaging—on the uAspire YouTube channel.

Four grand prize winners will be selected and announced on September 27 at the IIC Awards Ceremony at the MIT Media Lab which is free and open to the public. To register, visit https://mit-iic-awards-ceremony.eventbrite.com.
