Nancy Lue

Nancy Lue is General Manager of the Ed Tech Innovation Lab at GSVlabs (formerly NestGSV), a start-up incubator and accelerator affiliated with GSV Capital. Previously Lue worked at the U.S. Department of Education as Senior Advisor and Acting Chief Performance Improvement Officer. In these roles, she led the agency’s strategic planning, growth, and capacity building initiatives. In addition, as Special Advisor and Director of Strategic Initiatives, Lue was instrumental in supporting policy for and execution of competitive federal grant programs.

Before joining the U.S. Department of Education, Lue headed up corporate strategy for the launch of the global higher education division at The Advisory Board Company and was also Vice President of Strategic Planning at Edison Learning. Lue has volunteered in multiple education leadership capacities as a board member and in advisory roles. She currently serves on the boards of Silicon Valley Social Venture Fund (SV2) and Students for Education Reform (SFER), as a GreenLight Fund Selection Advisory Committee member, and on the steering committee of The Big Lift of San Mateo County.

While a high school student in Boston, Lue was advised by uAspire (then called ACCESS). She was in the first generation of her family to attend college, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in English Language & Literature from Harvard College and a master’s degree in Administration and Public Policy from the Harvard Graduate School of Education.
