Tanya Enriquez

Regional Advising Manager - Bay Area

Tanya Enriquez is the regional advising manager for the Bay Area. Prior to joining uAspire, Tanya supported first-generation, low-income and BIPOC students as a college advisor with UC Berkeley’s Early Academic Outreach Program (EAOP) and Destination College Advising Corps (DCAC) in two Bay Area high schools. After her time as a college advisor, she was an assistant resident director at UCLA where her love for serving students in higher education grew. At UCLA, Tanya enjoyed the campus and studying student affairs with her cohort and getting to learn about the various ways to serve in the education field. She holds a bachelor's degree from UC Santa Cruz (Go Banana Slugs!) and a master's in student affairs from UCLA (Go Bruins!). She was born and raised in Oakland, California.

Why uAspire?

While in high school, I had the opportunity to be a part of EAOP where I had access to a college advisor that supported me with the college application process, financial aid application, as well as connected me with summer opportunities. Without this outside resource, I would not have been able to navigate my higher education experience. I am happy to be a part of uAspire because I truly believe that every single student, regardless of their background, deserves to have a viable option in their pathway towards higher education.
