Sydney is a Wealth Advisor in the investment management division of Goldman Sachs & Co. where she works closely with an elite group of wealthy individuals, families, and select foundations and endowments. She and her team take pride in their very personal approach to building and preserving wealth. By providing investment advice, asset allocation guidance, and highly customized portfolios, Sydney and her team help families identify and achieve their financial goals.
Sydney joined Goldman Sachs after receiving her MBA from the Alfred Sloan School of Business at MIT. Prior to her work at Goldman Sachs, Sydney was the founder and CEO of Synergy Inc., a company focused on the empowerment of girls through sports. Synergy Inc. was acquired in 2013, and continues to operate as a national company, teaching leadership and providing educational opportunities for kids throughout the U.S. Sydney received her BA degree from Middlebury College, where she studied neuroscience and studio art. While at Middlebury, she and her teammates made four NCAA Final Four appearances, winning two women’s lacrosse national championships. Immediately following college, Sydney ignited a lasting passion for education while teaching biology and life sciences to 7th and 9th graders. Sydney has continued to be involved with educational institutions, serving as a board member, an advisor, and a coach to a handful of schools in the U.S. and abroad. Sydney has utilized her background in global health, business, and entrepreneurship, to work closely with NGOs, not-for-profits, and government organizations in low-income populations of Nairobi, Kenya, Gaborone, Botswana, Johannesburg, South Africa, and here in New England.
Sydney and her husband Peter are passionate about work in education, and Sydney remains involved with international global health initiatives, angel investing in promising entrepreneurs and innovative start-ups, and the empowerment of women in the Boston area community.
