Redjan was born and raised in south-Stockton and became passionate about social justice work through her internship with the Little Manila Foundation. She graduated from UC Berkeley with a double major in Public Health and Asian American & Asian Diaspora Studies. Prior to joining uAspire, she did college access work supporting first-generation, low-income, and/or under-resourced students of color across California through the bridges Multicultural Resource Center. Additionally, she supported local activists and artists through work at the Asian Pacific American Student Development Office, Eastwind Books, and Filipino Advocates for Justice.

Why uAspire?

My experiences as a first-generation college student from an under-resourced community, and work in the recruitment and retention of underserved communities into higher education, have shown how much of a difference support in navigating college applications and institutions can make. I choose to work at uAspire because I believe in the mission of alleviating college access barriers and empowering students to find an affordable pathway to and through college!
