Senior Director of Annual & Leadership Giving

Liza serves as the Senior Director of Annual and Leadership Giving on the External Affairs team. In her role, she engages our supporters across the country, explores opportunities for partnership, and serves as a liaison to provide updates on uAspire's crucial work to make college more affordable.

Liza's career began in the financial aid office at Simmons University, where she saw first-hand the issues many students faced with affordability in attaining a degree. She transitioned to a role in Development at Harvard Business School, where she supported Harvard's most recent capital campaign, and held positions in major and leadership giving. At Tufts University, Liza oversaw young alumni giving on the annual fund team, and most recently served as a major gift officer at Northeastern University's D'Amore-McKim School of Business.

Liza received her BA in French with a minor in English from the University of Vermont, where she served as a founding member and scholarship chair of Kappa Alpha Theta. She is currently pursuing a graduate certificate in Nonprofit Management at Northeastern University.

Why uAspire?

As a Pell grant recipient, beneficiary of a generous scholarship at the University of Vermont, and as someone who worked nearly full-time my junior and senior years to pay for living expenses, I have always been keenly aware of the financial obstacles around obtaining a degree. uAspire's mission to not only help the students we serve navigate the complex financial aid process but also to advocate for systemic changes is crucial, and I am honored to work for such a strong, impactful organization!
