Joyce Kim

FAO Schwarz Programs and Performance Fellow

Joyce is the FAO Schwarz Programs and Performance Fellow at uAspire. In this role, she spends half of her time as an Advisor with the Succeed Program, and the other half working on projects and new initiatives in the Advising department. Joyce graduated from Bowdoin College with a degree in Government & Legal Studies and Hispanic Studies and a minor in Education. Prior to uAspire, she led a mentoring program at Mt. Ararat High School in Topsham, ME, and worked as an America Reads and Counts Tutor in various elementary and middle schools in Brunswick, ME.

Why uAspire?

I know how tough and confusing the financial aid process can be, but believe it shouldn’t deter students’ aspirations for postsecondary education. I want to reduce barriers to help all students persist and succeed in their goals in the same way I was supported while pursuing my own.
