She supports African American 12th graders in San Francisco’s Unified School District through the college application and enrollment process with a special emphasis on college affordability. Prior to joining uAspire, she worked at Boys Hope Girls Hope-St. Louis as a college success coordinator where she assisted high school seniors through the college process. Additionally, she worked at The Scholarship Foundation of St. Louis as a student advocate and spent two summers advising students at the High School to College Center during the “summer melt” months. Breanna earned her BA in communications from Saint Louis University.

Why uAspire?

As a first-generation college graduate, the work of supporting underrepresented, first-generation students through this process, and helping to close the achievement gap, is very important to me. uAspire’s student-centered and collaborative approach are two of the main reasons why I chose to work with this organization.
