Arley graduated from Santa Rosa Junior College then transferred and graduated from UC Santa Cruz with Bachelors degrees in Psychology and Latin American and Latinx Studies. Prior to joining uAspire, Arley supported low-income and first-generation students and families in high school as a Family Involvement Intern through UC Santa Cruz’s Educational Partnership Center and GEAR UP (Gaining Early Awareness and Readiness for Undergraduate Programs). Why uAspire?

While in high school, I did not have access to the information and resources necessary to make informed decisions around college pathways and the financial aid process. Learning about the disparities that first-generation, low-income, BIPOC students face, I knew that I wanted to become a resource for other students like myself and help them in their journeys in higher education and help them realize their potential.
