Lawrence

uAspire (formerly known as ACCESS) opened its third site in Lawrence in 2011. Upon the urging of community leaders, uAspire began advising high school seniors at the Lawrence High School complex during the 2011-12 school year. In our first year, uAspire served more than 450 students, providing college affordability advising and guidance on the financial aid process, helping them secure more than $9.8 million in financial aid.

Lawrence has long been home to diverse communities of immigrants from around the world. Arriving with the hope of a better future, education is the key to prosperity. A college education can end poverty in a family line. But figuring out how to pay for college can be a challenge. And when those who have a bachelor’s degree can earn an average of 75% more than those with only a high school diploma, students in Lawrence need – and want – to earn a college degree that’s affordable.

uAspire helps students in Lawrence find an affordable path to higher education. We partner with the Lawrence High School complex and several nonprofit organizations in the Merrimack Valley to support college-ready students. Through workshops and one-on-one advising sessions with our expert Advisors, uAspire is empowering students in Lawrence to make a college education affordable.
